Peter Dixon is an intrepid adventurer with a deep-seated passion for motorcycle touring. The inception of Torqadventures stemmed from his desire to share the thrill of these remarkable journeys and to inspire fellow motorcycle enthusiasts to explore not only our scenic country but also neighboring lands.
With a wealth of experience spanning numerous years, Peter has transitioned from riding the XT500 Yamaha Thumper in his early days to his current BMW1250 GS. Peter possesses a unique talent for transforming motorcycle excursions into unforgettable experiences. His meticulously curated selection of tours and destinations is the result of personal visits to these locales.
Having traversed Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho, and Mozambique extensively, Peter meticulously handpicks each tour and encourages the participation of female riders. The tours are led by highly skilled Sweeps, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and indelible experience for all participants.
Peter holds an Executive Membership with the Motor Cycle Marshalls Institute and boasts significant experience as a Mass Ride Marshall.
Michael Dixon is an experienced off-road motorcycle rider. He began riding at a young age on a Versus 1000 before transitioning to riding BMW GSA
Michael is skilled in different types of motorcycle riding, including off-road, track racing, and enduro racing. He rides motorcycles very naturally, almost as if he was born on one. He has also ridden extensively in the countries of Lesotho and Mozambique.
In addition to being a talented rider, Michael is also very knowledgeable when it comes to motorcycle mechanics and maintenance. He is highly skilled at working on all things with an engine and two wheels.
Michael has previously ridden in the Madalas area. He owns a BMW GS1200 adventure touring motorcycle and a KTM off-road bike. Using these bikes, he takes pleasure in creating his own paths and trails across the countryside.
Previously, Michael engaged in superbike racing. However, he now prefers the tranquil beauty of exploring rural landscapes and scenic roads on his motorcycles instead of racing.
